Ok, HD-DVD is the next generation, but I don't think it's yet as widespread as today's DVD in customers' mind.
It will come sooner or later though...

Do you possess a Blu-ray drive or player?

 not yet, but if the Playstation.3 really gets in November 06 to Europe , it should be able to play also Blu-rays. And Sony say that the Playstation.3 is cheaper than their first Blu-ray Player will be (1000 Euro). You only need also a HDTV  for it.

On the other side so far, I know, the Angle Heart episodes on YTV (Japan) is sent also in HD.

On the BBS from Hojo-Tsukasa.com they say it would give three possibilities why no Hojo Tsukasa for Germany.

1.Mr.Hojo has suddenly become busy since 2002,because A.H.became a big hit.So,he doesn't have enough time to think about your request. (No)
2.The regulation of sexual illustration became strict in 2002,in your country. (No)

What is your question about Yan?? I have read vol 16 to 18 (of course, I'm not totally fluent in japanese yet but I might help anyway...)

In Deutsch heißt diese Folge Hypnose (Nr.47) und ich hätte diesen Song selber gerne glaube aber nicht das es ein wirklicher Song ist sondern leider warscheinlich nur diese zwei Sec für die Anime Scene gibt. Ich habe jedenfalls bis jetzt noch keinen Hinweiß auf dieses Lied gefunden.

1) Ryô is scared because he had made a promise to Yan which was to wish her a happy birthday (which is on Xmas Day) by email every year. But on the first time we meet Yan, we learn that Ryô has forgotten to send her an email because Shan In was ill. And at the end  of vol 18, he forgets it once again.

2) Shan In likes Yan because she thinks she is very strong, cool and also generous (she has helped a lot of children).

3) Ryô and Yan have met during war (I don't know when exactly) and Ryô has saved her by carrying her on the battlefield when she was wounded.

4) The end of vol 18 is again about Yan's birthday. At the end of vol 18, Xmas is about to end and Ryô hasn't sent the email. So Yan is here and waits that Xmas ends before yelling at Ryô. There's nothing about marriage between Ryô and Yan (it's more about Ryô and Kaori's wedding...)

Edit: I've read again vol 15 yersterday. And it appears that Yan was in love with Ryô. There obviously was something between those two during the time when they fought together on the battlefield.

It seems they had promised to each other to see again after the end of war. But when Ryô went to Japan, he fell in love with Kaori and so Yan says she lost to Kaori. Then she asked to Ryô to keep just one last promise to her (which was to wish her her birthday).

And when she found out that Ryô had forgotten to keep his promise, she came to Japan to know what happened to him and discovered that Ryô had a new girlfriend (against his will lol). So Yan wants to drink with that woman to see what she's worth (since the only woman Yan didn't succeed do beat at the "drinking thing" is Kaori...)
