wow, that's a big topic...
A lot of people wonder today the difference between Canada and America because we speak the same language, land is next to each other, people look the same, etc. Since America is a really big country and they have tons of successful business, Canadians lose their identity behind Americans. But there are many differences. Canada is really well known place as having wild nature, maples, Native Indians, lots of animals such as beavers , bears, moose etc.

This is at the mountain Ryo and I visited. Do you see the two bears? Yeah, we still have some snow. It's much colder than US in winter for sure... Though we have big cities, we see moose or dears walking across the street sometimes (not in big cities though...). For the sports, hokey is really popular here whereas baseball is popular in US.
Canada tries to achieve their identity so they put many Canadian flags on products, buildings and TV shows to be different from US. In fact, lots of Canadians hate Americans. (just as the same reasons you guys hate Americans...) Though you might think there are lots of white people here in Canada, actually that's not true...here in Vancouver, I see more Asian (Chinese) than cocasians. We don't see a lot of African American people like US but we see more Native Indians. Canada is a multi national country which most of the population are from different countries. We welcome lots of foreigners
The English accent is different between Canada and America as well.
Moreover, students in Canada learn French (because of Quebec) but students in America learn Spanish (because they are next to Mexico).
Did it help?
